No on Prop 8
A little bit of my views on Prop 8.
Protect Marriage.
How have we protected marriage so far?
Everyone I know has been married and divorced. I even know some people who have been married and divorced several times.
Men and women who get married and abuse or even some cases murder thier spouses are great examples of the “traditional marriages” we are trying to protect. I really want to know what are we protecting?
Why aren’t we protecting the rights?
Teaching children about gay marriage?
I never in all my years attending school got taught anything about marriage. They don’t teach you about marriage in school. I am a teacher now and I never taught any of the kids in my class about marriage of any kind nor would I want to.

So I have read some blogs supporting prop 8. Mostly because I find it very interesting how many people out there think it is okay to have the right to dictate your life and have your rights taking away.

Me: Teachers and schools do not teach about marriage of any kind. Kids are not stupid. Let kids be kids and let gays be gays and let us all accept the fact that not everyone wants to be married to the opposite sex.
“It’s also about procreation and the continuation of mankind as well as responsibility and dedication. As a society, we must continue to encourage procreation to ensure mankind continues. Procreation occurs only between a man and a woman. And at that level only (even if we are making advances in modern science to alleviate that need altogether — which I deem rather detrimental and dangerous territory).”
Me: So, people who can’t breed, like they can’t get pregnant or they don’t want kids, shouldn’t be allowed to get married? Gays can always have a surrogate mother. I am pretty sure that would work.:)

Such as allowing a pedophile to marry a child? Such as allowing a person to marry an object or an animal? Or any other instance you can imagine. All in the name of appeasing groups of people.”
Me: You just compared a gay person to a pedophile and and animal. Gay people are not animals they are humans with a heart and mind and able to make decisions on there own. Also gay people don’t poop outside.
I also like how you refer to gay people as a group and that you would be appeasing them by allowing them to keep there rights.
When is it going to stop? You want the rights of gays taking away but, what’s next? Women’s rights? What else is not appeasing to your group of religious activist? What do you want to take away next who or what are you going after?
What sadden me the most is that people can’t see the love of two people willing and wanting to make a marriage work, to live together ,have a family and to be able to be free to love each other.
All they see is 2 men and 2 women together and all they can say is “God says it is wrong.” “religious freedom”. But, what if your god is not my god. Religious freedom. What about human freedom?
Prop 8.
Is the religious activist attacking the gays and when they are done doing that. Who will be next? The Jews? Oh, wait they already did that.
Gays having the right to marry doesn’t have anything to do with you, it is not your place to be to take away anyones rights. When is the dictating going to stop
Vote No on prop 8!!
It really is unfair.
